  • Extra Curricular

We aim to have a range of extra-curricular clubs designed to cater to diverse interests and passions amongst our pupils. Extra-curricular activities are valuable as they enable your child to foster creativity, teamwork, and personal growth outside of the normal classroom sitting.

We have external providers who can offer additional expertise and increase our offer of clubs to children alongside clubs that will be run by Hazelbury Staff.

All payments for clubs should be made via Arbor. Further instructions on how to do this can be found here.

    Extra-Curricular Activities – Autumn 2 2025

As we begin the new academic year, we are delighted to offer a new range of extra-curricular clubs this autumn term. Designed to cater to a wide variety of interests and passions, these clubs are a valuable way for your child to explore new hobbies and develop important skills like teamwork and creativity in a fun, relaxed environment outside of the normal classroom setting. To support staffing and resource costs, fees for these clubs remain in place. Alongside the clubs run by Hazelbury staff, we have engaged an external provider to bring additional expertise.

Our extra-curricular activities will start from Monday 3rd November and run until Friday 5th December (excluding Monday 24th November and Thursday 4th December respectively.)

All clubs start at 3.20pm and finish at 4.20pm. Please ensure you pick your child up promptly at the finish time. Pupils should be collected by an adult on time from their designated collection point. If your child is collected late on more than one occasion then the place in the club may be lost. As the evenings are getting darker, we ask that all children attending extra-curricular clubs are collected directly from school at the end of their session.

The table below details what clubs are available and how to book a place for your child. The costs for each club are shown below. This is a block booking. Please be aware when making a booking that individual sessions will not be refunded if you choose for your child to attend another school event on the same day. All payments must be made via Arbor on your child’s Wraparound Care account before you reserve their place. You will be able to select your child’s chosen club on Tuesday 21st October 2025 at 10.00 am. Places will be allocated on the system on a first come first served basis and the club will show on your child’s calendar.  When the club is full, you will no longer be able to book a place for your child.

Please when selecting the clubs encourage your child to try something new. We encourage engagement and commitment. Please share the flyer and timetable with your child when making the club choice to ensure they are excited about attending the club and will engage with the activity. We kindly ask for your child to commit to attending all sessions to ensure consistency and development of skills. This commitment ensures continuity and allows all pupils to fully benefit from the club experience. As such, we cannot accommodate refunds for a missed session/s or a later change of mind.

Please note that a number of our clubs are led by coaches who are not qualified teachers. Their focus lies in nurturing pupils’ interests, skills and talents. When choosing clubs, please remind your child that our expectations for behaviour remain consistent with those within the school day. Children failing to meet these expectations may lose their place in the club, therefore ensuring that the majority of children can fully engage in developing their skills and interests.

It is important that all pupils follow our Hazelbury school values during the activities in order to ensure fun and enjoyment for all.
