  • Hazelbury Parliament Elections

Polling day came to Hazelbury once again to elect the members of our Hazelbury Parliament.

Once again Hazelbury had its annual polling day where elections took place for our councillors and MPs to represent each of our Hazelbury families. Our candidates for Year 6 MPs had been canvasing throughout the previous week, addressing their family with a speech during their family assembly and visiting the classes to chat to children to gain support and hopefully votes. On polling day, all of the children received their polling cards and visited the hall, having been signed in, to make their crucial vote. The votes were placed in ballot boxes and those with the most votes were announced in the next family assembly. All of the potential MPs had the opportunity to meet and gain advice from our local politician Kate Osamer. Well done to Luana, Aryan, Ali, Amanda, Daniel, Melisande, Joshua, Sedanur, Abdulla and Mia who were all successful candidates and will be representing their family this year as MPs.
