Hazelbury learnt about national anti-bullying week.
Last week was national ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ and through assemblies and lessons in class, Hazelbury pupils learnt about this years theme ‘All Different, All Equal’. During this week there was a focus on kindness and how this links to celebrating diversity and preventing bullying. Children were encouraged to recognise different acts of kindness by writing them down and putting them into ‘kindness jars’ in their classrooms. Harry, from the Diana Award Charity, also visited pupils in KS2. He explained how the charity works with lots of children across the country to help empower them to tackle all types of bullying. He spoke about celebrating diversity and the importance of being kind.
