Early Years Baseline Assessment

The government have introduced a Reception Baseline Assessment for all children at the start of their Reception year. It is a short, interactive assessment carried out in the first 6 weeks of reception between a child and their teacher or teaching assistant. This will form the start of a new progress measure for schools and will inform teachers of the level at which your child is working when they enter Reception in order to measure their progress as they go through the school.
